Reflection: when you build for real problems, people show up

On 9 December 2025, two weeks after /function1, we shared a reflection on the event. Its message was simple: when you build for real problems, people show up.

The conversations at the booth, the questions and the feedback all confirmed the same thing. The UAE is moving fast toward practical, applied AI, not AI for the sake of AI.

We thanked the /function1 team for creating a space where founders and operators can meet around real challenges and real solutions.
