1 / 6On 18-19 November 2025, Avano exhibited at /function1 with a booth of its own, one of the early-stage companies showing what they were building.
Mohamed Al Owais, Zakaria Warsame and Sultan Al Sadoon spent both days at the booth, talking with founders, investors and visitors. Many people arrived expecting a product demo. What kept them at the booth was the logic behind it: how a fleet operator's daily decisions can be understood and improved.
During the event, Mohamed pitched directly to Yuki Shirato, head of Techstars Tokyo, in a one-to-one conversation.
In our post after the event we wrote: "This event did not validate the product. It validated the need." Two weeks later, a second post looked back on what the days taught us.
Looking back: in November 2025 Avano described itself as Sovereign Mobility Intelligence. Today Avano is AI infrastructure for car rental and fleet operators in the UAE, and our compliance logic is aligned with the relevant requirements.
